I had to shoot James Brown twice because the first time was a production nightmare - fault of his people - and we rescheduled a few weeks later outside his office in Augusta, which was in a strip mall next to a Dry Cleaners and a chiropractor’s office. We shot these in the parking lot in 95 degree heat. I have no idea how he just did not melt in that black leisure suit. I love full belly laughs on camera - pure joy is frozen in time.
