I shot LL several times, for magazines and albums, and this time he showed up at my studio and asked me to come down to his car where he opened up a trunk filled with these leather hats in different colors. Not only was it not my idea to shoot these hats but the only way you can see the LL was from behind which is not ideal for a portrait. Sometimes strange situations and accidents influence great photos. Lucky me!
