Straight out of prison in 1991, Jesse Frohman did a cover shoot of James Brown for Spin magazine in the parking lot of Jame’s office which was in a strip mall in Augusta, Ga. In 90 degree heat and 95% humidity, Brown showed up in a black leisure suit, but was the consummate professional as he nearly melted under the scorching sun.
